Package each item separately in each zip lock bags to avoid scratches and package it in a bubble mailer.
Get insurance since items lost in the mail is non-refundable.

All kinds of stone settings are vulnerable to damage. Prone settings can be snagged in clothing or hair. Distortion of a setting can leave diamonds loose and able to fall out. Also, exposure to chlorine can damage silver causing it to crack, ruining the metal and potentially causing CZ simulated to be lost
To care best of settings you should:
* Take care wearing prong set diamonds with loose knit clothing
* Avoid subjecting your jewelry to any type of force
* Remove your jewelry when using bleach based cleaning products
* Remove your jewelry when at the swimming pool
*Do not ever wear jewelry when doing rough work or going to sleep

You can use toothpaste and brush the stone very gently with water. This will remove the dirt that accumulated on the stone. It should be done once a month.

If there's a problem with the ring, it will be the first few minutes you got the ring. You have caught something that makes the prong to open (like hair, towel or sweater) if you are not careful enough, this can happen to all kinds of jewelry, real gold or not, real diamond or not.
