This sock ruler was developed together with Thorsten Duit and is an indispensable aid for knitting according to his instructions for anatomical toe-up socks. With the QR code you have a link to the knitting instructions for anatomical toe-up socks by Thorsten Duit in his just duit's Ravelry store.
The classic version has now got a “little brother”. The short “ToGo” version can be easily taken with you in a small project bag. With the additional hole on the top, you can secure it to your project bag using a carabiner or lanyard.
These instructions show you how to knit anatomically correct socks on the circular knitting needle from the toe up.
Thanks to the anatomically correct heel shape, these socks fit very well. The instructions are written out in great detail with lots of pictures and there are also detailed videos on YouTube for each (!) individual step. With this you will finally learn to knit perfect socks!
The sock ruler contains the table for the stitch cast on from the knitting instructions and you always have this to hand for your project. You can use the sock ruler to measure when you can start knitting the gusset. To do this, simply slide the sock ruler into the curve of your knitted toe and read the required length based on the size marking.
Depending on the yarn thickness and your knitting technique, stitch sizes vary. The cutout for measuring your stitch sample is a big help here.
You are not sure what needle size you are currently using. You can easily check this using the needle gauge. The holes for measuring needle sizes are grouped according to yarn thickness. This is just a recommendation and can of course vary from person to person.
Size of the rulers: Classic 29.5 cm x 6.4 cm, ToGo 18 cm x 6.4 cm
The sock ruler is cut from 3 mm multiplex with a precision laser. The surface and edges are finely ground after laser cutting. This creates a pleasant feel and - more importantly - your sock doesn't get stuck when you measure it.
The surface of the multiplex used remains untreated. Wood is a natural product, so there may be color variations and possible knot inclusions. Unfortunately, avoiding knot inclusions is not always possible. The brown shimmer along the cut edges, as well as the possible smoky smell, arises from the processing process and is not a reason for complaint.
