Instructions scarf Maiah
The Maiah scarf is worked bottom up in garter stitch. It is characterized by a decorative stitch formed with knit stitches worked in the middle and contrasting with the garter stitch. The Maiah scarf is intended to be a warm scarf for the little ones that you can easily put on before they are big enough to have things like loop scarves pulled over their heads.
Knitted on 4.5mm needles, the shawl takes an evening or two to finish and helps to use up the yarn stash.

SIZES
One size (adjustable as two buttonholes are worked)
KNIT TENSION
17 stitches x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4'' x 4'' in garter stitch after washing
NEEDLES
4.5 mm knitting needles, these can be circular or straight knitting needles
MATERIAL
25 g of yarn category 4 (medium or Aran), e.g.:
Lana Grossa 'Bingo' (100% merino wool, LL 80 m / 50 g);
Rosy Green Wool ‘Big Merino Hug’ (100% merino wool, LL 160 m / 100 g); DROPS ‘Big Merino’ (100% merino wool, LL 75 m / 50 g)
For the brown scarf shown in the photos above I used Lanagrossa, Bingo, camel (#724) and for the blue scarf I used Lanagrossa Bingo, powder blue (#134).
