This is a downloadable guide for viewers of my YouTube Channel (youtu.be/philvandelay) and everyone else who would like to build this project. It contains plans, measurements and information to help you build the cargo bike that I built in my YouTube Video (Video Link: https://youtu.be/SDlnDEXlfm8)
**This offer does not include any physical items!** After purchase you can download the files directly here on etsy.
LEGAL NOTICE: By purchasing these plans, you agree to use the information contained for non-commercial, private/personal use only. Any commercial production, sale or advertisement of products based on this copyrighted design, or redistribution of the plans are prohibited.
You will get a 36-Page PDF File that contains detailed technical drawings of every part with all measurements required to build the bike. It also contains a lot of additional in-depth information, notes and tips from me that couldn't make it into the video. There are lists for materials, bike parts and other things you need, information on what tools to use, detailed information about the build itself and how to customize it and an FAQ on this bike and cargo bikes in general.
All measurements are in metric units, except for bike-specific imperial parts and some tubing.
With the download you will also get a 3D CAD Model of the Bike that you can use for measurements or modify to help with the build. The 3D Model is included as a universal .step file that should work with most 3D CAD applications as well as an .f3d file for Autodesk Fusion 360 (this one also includes working joints for the mechanical parts) and a .skp file for SketchUp.
Note that this guide does not contain step-by-step instructions, it is supposed to be used in conjunction with the video which shows you the overall building process and explains the "hands-on" side of the build, while this guide covers the theory and numbers. You should watch the video first if you haven't yet, so you know what to expect!
Note: This is build involves metalworking and welding. You have to be able to (mitre) cut, drill and weld steel tubing . Some fabrication knowledge as well as at least basic technical knowledge about bicycles is assumed and required to build this project.
