Vintage Cartier Diamond And Blue Sapphire 18k Yellow Gold Three Stone Dome Ring.

Stunning yellow gold Cartier ring set with a beautiful 3.5mm centre diamond with F/G Colour and VVS clarity. This is accented by 2 fine deep blue sapphires approx 2.5mm each. These have some slight abrasions and surface marks - as to be expected of an older piece like this.

The ring is signed Cartier 750 with serial numbers and a French eagle hallmark.

I thought I was buying a green sapphire and my order arrived with a green garnet at a sapphire price. Totally disappointed.

This buyer does not know how to test gemstones. We were very patient and fair in providing a return label for the stone so we could retest in case an error was made. We showed pictures and videos of this exact gemstone being tested by a presidium thermal and electrical gemstone tester clearly reading as a sapphire. We also provided clear Refractive Index results, Polariscope results (showing stone as doubly refractive-so cannot be garnet). This was conducted by our gemmologist who is a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and Accredited Jewellery Professional with GIA. The buyer still refused to accept the results. We then offered to send the gem to any Gemstone Lab of their choice to prove independently the stone is as described. They refused and said they wouldn't accept this either?
