This turtle puzzle came wrapped in a Saran-Wrap product, no bubble wrap. As a consequence, the turtle tail was broken upon receipt. This was very disappointing. It does have a strong smell, as others have said, but 3 of 3 parents I spoke with said that all toys smell bad at first, and they were not concerned about it. But one parent recipient is a teacher and she loved the turtle puzzle, she said it was a great learning tool (I bought it because i thought it was super cute!). I purchased it for some twin 14 Mo olds, and I think they will grow with it nicely.
