I currently keep one in the kitchen and two in the bathroom. The exfoliation claims are patently true; I use mine on my feet to handle running calluses. For cleaning, the loofah isn't as absorbent as a regular sponge but - paired with a reusable paper towel - does a better job getting grime off of dishes than a sponge, and with less damage to the dishes than the harsher scrubbing pads. We'll see if these last any longer than a standard sponge.
