Designed personally by Louis Cartier in 1917 and patterned after an army tank, Cartier's Tank symbolized speed and achievement, and an unstoppable force. Today, these watches are easily recognized across as room as a Cartier.

This Connoisseur of Time Certified Pre-Owned mens Tank Louis features a traditional solid 18K gold tank case, classic white Roman dial with blue steel hands, sapphire topped crown, and Cartier quartz movement that never needs to be wound.

It is a "La Californienne" edition with custom hand-painted band. As an article about the company states in Vogue Magazine, "Their finishing touch is the naturally vegetable-tanned cowhide leather straps, devoid of thick stitching (seen on most leather bands these days), and strikingly set with stripes of assorted colors applied by Garwacki’s steady hand in their L.A. studio. The carefully preserved heirlooms pay homage to their origin while still acknowledging today’s lean toward newness, all while maintaining competitive prices to their newer, untouched counterparts (and all with custom warranties).

With the exception of the band, the watch has all of its original parts - the face repainted with the company's name at the bottom and the 18K gold case back stamped with the name.

It presents in beautiful condition - the watch presents as a 9.3 out of 10.
