BABYMÜTZE LISELOTTE

The Liselotte baby bonnet is knitted in stockinette stitch using a striped pattern that alternates every row or round; the yarn is carried up as you go, so there are hardly any ends to weave in at the end. You begin with the ribbed brim, followed by the front section of the bonnet, which is worked back and forth in rows. For the back section, the work is joined in the round, and simple decreases shape the crown at the back of the head. Finally, stitches are picked up along the entire side edge to knit on both the i-cord ties and an i-cord edging.
