MAIAH'S SCARF

Maiah’s scarf is worked from the bottom up in garter stitch. The pattern includes an optional decorative horizontal line of knit stitches which stands out against the garter stitch ridges. The left and the right side of the scarf are finished separately and two buttonholes are worked to allow adjusting the size as your baby grows.

Working a chain selvedge
ssk and k2tog
m1-L/loop
m1-R/loop

SIZES
One size adjustable as two buttonholes are worked)

GAUGE
17 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 ” in garter stitch after washing

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
One pair of 4,5 mm needles (US size 7), straight or circular needles both work (or the required size to obtain gauge)

YARN
25 grams of Aran weight yarn. Suggested yarns:
Bingo from Lana Grossa (100 % Merino wool, 50 g = approx. 80 m / 87 yards);
Big Merino Hug from Rosy Green Wool (100 % Merino wool, 100 g = approx. 160 m / 175 yards);
Big Merino from DROPS (100 % Merino wool, 50 g = approx. 75 m / 82 yards)

For the sample shown above I used Lana Grossa Bingo, in camel (nr. 724). 

SUPPLIES
1 removable stitch marker or safety pin, tapestry needle, 1 button (ø approx. 15 mm)
