STRAWBERRY SCARF

The Strawberry Scarf is knitted in stockinette stitch, from the bottom up in a striped pattern whereby the stripes alternate on every row and the yarn end is carried over at each row end so we don’t need to weave in lots of yarn tails at the end. We begin by working the tip of the scarf and we continue to knit the scarf from the bottom up to its long end. The pattern instructs you to add blocks of main colour at the bottom and the top of the work but you are free to work the stripes as you wish, you may need to adjust the yarn amounts needed, if you change the pattern.

Mini (Midi) Maxi

GAUGE
22 Stitches x 32 Rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4″, with needle size 3,5 mm (US 4), in stockinette stitch, after washing. Note that the gauge might grow as you wash and especially as you block your scarf to the desired measurements.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
One circular needle size 3,5 mm (US 4) / 100 cm (39,5″) or 125 cm (49,25″) for the largest size or the given needle size to obtain gauge.

Sport weight yarn, for example:
Pascuali Suave (100 % Cotton, 25 g approx. 162 m / 177 yards)
main colour approx. 13 (30) 81 grams
contrast colour approx. 7 (16) 42 grams

or Cardiff Cashmere Classic
(100 % Cashmere, 25 g approx. 112 m / 122 yards)
main colour approx. 22 (56) (155) grams
contrast colour approx. 12 (31) 85 grams

My red scarf is knitted in Suave by Pascuali in the colours 74 Erdbeere and 52 Beige in the size Midi and my blue scarf is knitted with Cardiff Cashmere Classic in the colours 644 Baby and 599 Panna in the size Mini.
